Kathy and I returned yesterday from our Spring Break visit with Howard & Marilyn ... & found we had redbuds and dogwoods flourishing this year (after years of reticence). Today I went out to visit each of them just as a storm was coming in from the south, over the river. There was sun on them even as there was black sky behind -- I recalled that Jessica and I enjoyed the fact that across town, she and I heard the same thunder.  The ground ivy and violets are exuberant ...
